I am a freelance photographer and writer, supplying material to calendar and postcard publishers and journals including `Yorkshire Life`, `Country Walking`, `Photography Monthly`, `Practical Photography`, and `Pentax User`. I also contribute regular articles to `Best of British` magazine, and up and coming work to be featured in `My Weekly` ladies magazine.

I am currently doing research into the history of popular music and other light entertainment from the turn of the 20th century up to the 1960s.

Recently, I have been photographing local artistes such as Paul Harper, and The Palm Court Dance Orchestra, to be used in their portfolios, and also to accompany articles I am writing for various magazines.

In May 2006 I staged a photography exibition in Castleford, celebrating 30 years of my colour photography, including marvellous pictures of Yorkshire Scenery, photos of popular entertainment from the 1920s & 30s; and 'Still Life' creations that gave me the name 'The Powder Paint Man`. A special preview evening was held on Friday 28th April, which included performances from The Palm Court Dance Orchestra.
